This calculator uses the following formulas to calculate corrugated box parameters:
- Sheet Size Calculation:
- Cutting Length = (Length + Width) × 2 + Margin (60mm or 120mm)
- Deckle Width = Width + Height + 30mm
- Weight Calculation:
- Area (m²) = (Cutting Length × Deckle Width) ÷ 1,000,000
- GSM Weight = Total GSM (sum of all layers)
- Raw Weight = (Area × GSM Weight) ÷ 1000
- Final Weight = Raw Weight × 1.03 (3% wastage)
- Cost Calculation:
- Price per Box = Weight (kg) × Paper Rate+conversation (per kg)
- Total Cost = Price per Box × Quantity
Margin Rules:
- If Length + Width ≤ 890mm → Margin = 60mm
- If Length + Width > 890mm → Margin = 120mm
- Additional margin for Inner Dimensions based on ply:
- 3 Ply: Length/Width +4mm, Height +6mm
- 5 Ply: Length/Width +5mm, Height +6mm
- 7 Ply: Length/Width +5mm, Height +6mm
Flute Multiplier: Each flute paper GSM is multiplied by flute type multiplier (A=1.55, B=1.35, C=1.45, E=1.30, F=1.25)
